Pony Rides and Easter Smiles!

We kicked off the Easter holidays in style with an afternoon of pony fun at Laris Farm with Quest RDA!

The children began their afternoon by getting fitted for riding hats before entering the school to meet their ponies. They made their way over to the mounting block, where the coaches helped them get into the saddle.

The first activity involved riding in a circle, getting used to the feeling of being on a horse. To build their confidence, the children were encouraged to wave at their parents as they passed by - some were a little hesitant, but by the end, everyone managed at least a small wave!

Things got competitive as the children took part in an egg and spoon race - they definitely had to take one hand off the reins for that one! Faces were full of focus and smiles. One parent shared:

''His focus the whole time really surprised me due to his ASD and ADD! I think we may have found an outdoor hobby.''

We love when we can make a meaningful impact on the children and their families.

Next up, they headed into the Easter-filled woods for an exciting Easter egg - on horseback! Who knew that was even possible?

The magical afternoon ended with every child receiving an Easter egg and a rosette for their bravery and hard work.

We cannot thank Quest RDA enough for organising such a fantastic afternoon for our families. Thank you!
